Consistency is Key

As in all things in life, consistency is key when it comes to relationships and dating. The things that originally attract you to someone are the same things you want and expect to be consistent. When we find someone appealing it is usually because they have continuously repeated behaviors that have caused us to become fond of them.

Have you ever dated or been in a relationship with someone who was consistently inconsistent? Super frustrating, right? If you have, then I’m sure you were disappointed to find out that once you were really impressed by them, they were not who they appeared to be or were no longer willing to continue to do the things that originally caught your attention. Sometimes we forget that in order to maintain a successful relationship, we have to continue to do the things that got us are partner in the first place.

Comfort Kills

How do we even begin to get too comfortable in our relationships? After being involved with someone for a substantial amount of time we start to become complacent and may even think that our mate isn’t going to leave us or that we’ve got them wrapped around our finger. WRONG! Never become too comfortable with where you stand with someone. A relationship takes hard work and dedication; everyday should be spent trying to impress your partner more than you did the day previous.

Listen

While you are busy being comfortable in your relationship, someone else could be even busier wooing your them. Remember that what you aren’t doing somebody else will be more than glad to. If you started out buying your woman flowers for no reason at all then continue doing so, and as women we need to keep cooking his favorite meals and sending him thoughtful messages. Constantly remind yourself and your significant other of why you both originally wanted to be together. Have fun and be romantic because after all nobody wants a boring relationship. Keep things spontaneous and consistent. It’s healthy and keeps things new and exciting.
