One of the top things Americans complain about is being tired. Most of us blame it on having too much to do and not enough time to do it all, but the problem may be our own everyday habits. Believe it or not but what we eat, how we sleep, and how we cope with things greatly effects our energy level.

Monitor your diet! Ever eat a heavy meal and feel tired afterwards? Or gone long periods of time without eating and felt weak? It’s your dietary habits! Try eating small portions of food 3-4 times a day. This will keep you from feeling fatigued after large meals and prevent you from going long periods of time without eating. Also, having a power breakfast is essential to jump starting our bodies’ energy and I can’t stress enough the importance of drinking water and staying hydrated. Even mild dehydration can cause your body to work harder.

Let your body rest! The way our bodies regain energy is by getting sleep. It is recommended that adults receive a minimum of 7-9 hours of sleep daily. I know for some this doesn’t seem feasible but there are alternative ways to ensure that your body gets an adequate amount of rest. If you have trouble sleeping at night or have a difficult work schedule, I suggest taking naps. Giving your body an extra 2-3 hours of sleep will make a huge difference in how you feel. Detox your Adrenals! The Adrenal System manages our body’s hormonal response to stress and enhances our ability to cope with anxiety and fight fatigue. Our Adrenal System contains Adaptogens which are a unique group of herbal ingredients used to improve the health of the Adrenal System. Adaptogens have the ability to adapt their function according to your body’s specific needs, so relax!

I guarantee that if you start by making subtle changes in your daily routine, you will have more energy to not only do the things you have to but you will also be able to do the things you previously wanted to but couldn’t before.
